Through paintings we see nature, through architecture we live in them.
Passed down from the craft of Chinese garden landscaping and the spirit of traditional painting, the architectures are to be distinguished by chapters as if in a book. It brings out the sophisticated connection between architecture and culture. Furthermore, the essential subjects in Chinese traditional paintings such as: birds, flowers, trees and the natural landscapes themselves are immersed into the structures as key inspirations. The harmony between 國美詠山 and its elegant surroundings of nature is brought out by words and images.
We applied the idea of “seeing nature through painting” to express the message of “Living nature through architecture.” The structures were built by combining the meaning of Chinese characters with related visual symbols. This way, we made them a part of the nature of which they were built on.
